திருசிற்றம்பலம்(thiruciRRambalam)
The ancient wisdom of आकाश स्पन्दन (ākāśa spandana - vacuum jitters) in modern scientific light of course, science is yet to catch up with the चित् (cit - consciousness) aspect of the चितंबर रहस्य (citaṁbara rahasya - gnostic vacuum secret), this is because the चित् आकाश (cit ākāśa - gnostic vacuum) is अधि सूक्ष्म (adhi sūkṣma - extremely subtle) for mundane human intellect to grasp by mere materialistic sciences.
Recently there are some humble beginnings already (kindergarden stage of course - anthropic universe, holographic universe etc)... Long way ahead.. miles to go
In fact, चितंबर रहस्य (citaṁbara rahasya - gnostic vacuum secret) is so subtle and minute, hence it is referred as சிவ சுகாதீத வெளி நடு (siva sugaadhIdha veLi nadu), as it operates well beyond mundane human consciousness viz. जाग्रत् (jāgrat -wakeful), स्वप्न (svapna - dream) & सुषुप्ति (suṣupti – deep sleep) states.
Whenever i think of our cognitive limitations i am reminded of the following verses from திருமந்திரம்(thirumandhiram)
ஆரறி வார்எங்கள் அண்ணல் பெருமையை
ஆரறி வார்இந்த அகலமும் நீளமும்
பேரறி யாத பெருஞ்சுடர் ஒன்றதின்
வேரறி யாமை விளம்புகின் றேனே
ஆரறி வார்இந்த அகலமும் நீளமும்
பேரறி யாத பெருஞ்சுடர் ஒன்றதின்
வேரறி யாமை விளம்புகின் றேனே
The திருசிற்றம்பலம் (thiru chiTRRambalam) is considered to be subtler than the subtlest of the mirco-atomic quantum particles observed in the physical universe. In fact, etymologically the term சிற்றம்பரம் (siTRRambaram) can also be split as சிறு (siRu - tiny) + « அம்பரம்(ambaram - vacuum). The noble saint திரு அருட்பிரகாச இராமலிங்க வள்ளலார் (thiru arutpirakaasa iraamalinga vaLLalaar) in his திருஅருட்பா (thiru arutpaa) very beautifully eulogizes the scale of the subtlety thus.
சிருட்டிஒன்று சிற்றணுவில் சிறிததனில் சிறிது
சினைத்தகர ணக்கருஅச் சினைக்கருவில் சிறிது
வெருட்டியமான் அம்மானில் சிறிதுமதி மதியின்
மிகச்சிறிது காட்டுகின்ற வியன்சுடர்ஒன் றதனில்
தெருட்டுகின்ற சத்திமிகச் சிறிததனில் கோடித்
திறத்தினில்ஓர் சிறிதாகும் திருச்சிற்றம் பலத்தே
அருட்டிறத்தின் நடிக்கின்ற என்னுடைய தலைவர்
அருட்பெருமை எவர்உரைப்பார் அறியாய்என் தோழி.
சினைத்தகர ணக்கருஅச் சினைக்கருவில் சிறிது
வெருட்டியமான் அம்மானில் சிறிதுமதி மதியின்
மிகச்சிறிது காட்டுகின்ற வியன்சுடர்ஒன் றதனில்
தெருட்டுகின்ற சத்திமிகச் சிறிததனில் கோடித்
திறத்தினில்ஓர் சிறிதாகும் திருச்சிற்றம் பலத்தே
அருட்டிறத்தின் நடிக்கின்ற என்னுடைய தலைவர்
அருட்பெருமை எவர்உரைப்பார் அறியாய்என் தோழி.
The science of studying such minute आकाश स्पन्दन (ākāśa spandana - vacuum jitters) is technically referred to as दहर विद्या (dahara vidyā – subtle / micro wisdom / wisdom of the minute). Interestingly, recent discoveries of modern physics almost reflects the same wisdom.
According to modern particle physics, the tiniest length of manifested space (point-particle) is popularly denoted as Planck length (lp) (originally developed by Max Planck) which approximates to be 1.616252* 10^-35m. This is really tiny in all respects and is what is called as விண் வெளி / दहराकाश (viN veLi / daharākāśa – quantum field / micro space). It is the விண் வெளியின் அசைவு (viNveLiyin asaivu – quantum field / vacuum jitters) at this micro scale that constitutes the energy dance described in modern science as Quantum Electro Dynamic (QED) & Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD) based on current scientific understandings

However, please do not think that the effect of this आकाश स्पन्दन (ākāśa spandana - vacuum jitters) at the scales of விண் வெளி / दहराकाश (viN veLi / daharākāśa – quantum field / micro space) is confined to the subtle realms of the quantum world alone. In fact, it is the basis for the macro-cosmic multiverses that we live in. The same चितंबर तण्डव (citaṁbara taṇḍava) also refers to the पञ्च महा कृत्य (pañca mahā kṛtya – fivefold cosmic acts) at the macro cosmic scale, relating to the multiverse
viz. सृष्टि (sṛṣṭi – emission), स्थिति (sthiti - sustenance)
संहार (saṁhāra – anhilation / absorption), तिरोभाव (tirobhāva - veiling) & अनुग्रह (anugraha - grace)

Thus, in other words, the आनन्द महा ताण्डव (ānanda mahā tāṇḍava – supreme dance of bliss) actually represents the eternal governance of the पञ्च महा कृत्य (pañca mahā kṛtya – five cosmic functions) cutting across the infinitely long series of manifested multiverses. Whenever I think of the this massive scale, I am reminded of the following verses of திரு அருட்பிரகாச இராமலிங்க வள்ளலார் (thiru arutpirakaasa iraamalinga vaLLalaar) in his திருஅருட்பா (thiru arutpaa) on the cosmic dance of शिव (śiva) -
அருள்நிலை விளங்குசிற் றம்பலம்எ னுஞ்சிவ
சுகாதீத வெளிநடுவிலே
அண்டபகி ரண்டகோ டிகளும் சராசரம்
அனைத்தும்அவை ஆக்கல்முதலாம்
பொருள்நிலைச் சத்தரொடு சத்திகள் அனந்தமும்
பொற்பொடுவி ளங்கிஓங்கப்
புறப்புறம் அகப்புறம் புறம்அகம் இவற்றின்மேல்
பூரணா காரமாகித்
தெருள்நிலைச் சச்சிதா னந்தகிர ணாதிகள்
சிறப்பமுதல் அந்தம்இன்றித்
திகழ்கின்ற மெய்ஞ்ஞான சித்திஅனு பவநிலை
தெளிந்திட வயங்குசுடரே
சுருள்நிலைக் குழலம்மை ஆனந்த வல்லிசிவ
சுந்தரிக் கினியதுணையே
சுத்தசிவ சன்மார்க்க நிதியே அருட்பெருஞ்
சோதிநட ராஜபதியே.
சுகாதீத வெளிநடுவிலே
அண்டபகி ரண்டகோ டிகளும் சராசரம்
அனைத்தும்அவை ஆக்கல்முதலாம்
பொருள்நிலைச் சத்தரொடு சத்திகள் அனந்தமும்
பொற்பொடுவி ளங்கிஓங்கப்
புறப்புறம் அகப்புறம் புறம்அகம் இவற்றின்மேல்
பூரணா காரமாகித்
தெருள்நிலைச் சச்சிதா னந்தகிர ணாதிகள்
சிறப்பமுதல் அந்தம்இன்றித்
திகழ்கின்ற மெய்ஞ்ஞான சித்திஅனு பவநிலை
தெளிந்திட வயங்குசுடரே
சுருள்நிலைக் குழலம்மை ஆனந்த வல்லிசிவ
சுந்தரிக் கினியதுணையே
சுத்தசிவ சன்மார்க்க நிதியே அருட்பெருஞ்
சோதிநட ராஜபதியே.
Of course modern science is yet to catch up with the ancient theological doctrines of तिरोभाव (tirobhāva - veiling) & अनुग्रह (anugraha - grace) into the domain of cosmology yet...
Science is still struggling to unravel the mysteries surrounding the origin, growth and eventual fate of the multiverse, in fact it is now only beginning to speculate on parallel universes, multidimensions, multiverses etc. तिरोभाव (tirobhāva - veiling) & अनुग्रह (anugraha - grace) are more advanced concepts for it , as of now. Still a long way to go.

However ancient Hindu science as already hinted the important role of चितंबर ताण्डव (citaṁbara tāṇḍava - cosmic vacuum dance) at the macrocosmic scale as testified by saint திருமூலர் (thirumUlar) himself in the following verses
அண்டம் எழுகோடி பிண்டம் எழுகோடி
தெண்டிரை சூழ்ந்த திசைகள் எழுகோடி
எண்டிசை சூழ்ந்த இலிங்கம் எழுகோடி
அண்டன் நடஞ்செயும் ஆலயந் தானன்றே
தெண்டிரை சூழ்ந்த திசைகள் எழுகோடி
எண்டிசை சூழ்ந்த இலிங்கம் எழுகோடி
அண்டன் நடஞ்செயும் ஆலயந் தானன்றே
and elsewhere the saint further eulogizes thus
அம்பல மாவ தகில சராசரம்
அம்பல மாவது ஆதிப் பிரானடி
அம்பல மாவது அப்புத்தீ மண்டலம்
அம்பல மாவது அஞ்செழுத் தாகுமே
அம்பல மாவது ஆதிப் பிரானடி
அம்பல மாவது அப்புத்தீ மண்டலம்
அம்பல மாவது அஞ்செழுத் தாகுமே
Similarly, வள்ளலார் (vaLLalaar) also echoes thus,
அண்டவள வெவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவும் அவற்றில்
அமைந்தசரா சரஅளவெவ் வளவோஅவ் வளவும்
கண்டதுவாய் ஆங்கவைகள் தனித்தனியே அகத்தும்
காண்புறத்தும் அகப்புறத்தும் புறப்புறத்தும் விளங்க
விண்டகுபே ரருட்சோதிப் பெருவெளிக்கு நடுவே
விளங்கிஒரு பெருங்கருணைக் கொடிநாட்டி அருளாம்
தண்டகும்ஓர் தனிச்செங்கோல் நடத்திமன்றில் நடிக்கும்
தனிஅரசே என்மாலை தாளில்அணிந் தருளே.
அண்டவகை எவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவும் அவற்றில்
அமைந்தஉயிர் எவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவும் அவைகள்
கண்டபொருள் எவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவும் அவற்றில்
கலந்தகலப் பெவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவும் நிறைந்தே
விண்தகும்ஓர் நாதவெளி சுத்தவெளி மோன
வெளிஞான வெளிமுதலாம் வெளிகளெலாம் நிரம்பிக்
கொண்டதுவாய் விளங்குகின்ற சுத்தசிவ மயமே
குலவுநடத் தரசேஎன் குற்றமும்கொண் டருளே.
அமைந்தசரா சரஅளவெவ் வளவோஅவ் வளவும்
கண்டதுவாய் ஆங்கவைகள் தனித்தனியே அகத்தும்
காண்புறத்தும் அகப்புறத்தும் புறப்புறத்தும் விளங்க
விண்டகுபே ரருட்சோதிப் பெருவெளிக்கு நடுவே
விளங்கிஒரு பெருங்கருணைக் கொடிநாட்டி அருளாம்
தண்டகும்ஓர் தனிச்செங்கோல் நடத்திமன்றில் நடிக்கும்
தனிஅரசே என்மாலை தாளில்அணிந் தருளே.
